Thiago Emiliano da Silva or known as Thiago Silva was born on September 22, 1984 in Rio, Brazil.

Thiago was already used to a miserable life since he was a child. He also felt pressured after facing the separation of his parents.

“When I was little, I missed my father very much. My parents’ parting really affected my psychological condition. “

Thiago who is a close friend of David Luiz often spends time playing football. Until finally, their talents were shown. Starting the experience by being a mascot at a football match, the two began to practice seriously.

Both of them then parted ways to find their own fortune.

Thiago’s childhood is really scary. Besides of being trapped in poverty, he must often hear gunshots as his house was near the drug criminals’ place.

“I often hear gunshots. I even always see the police coming to places not far from me. “

Instead of joining the criminal gulf, Thiago kept on his stance. He continued to focus on football and always kept his dreams in his mind.

Thiago always finds ways to practice football. Due to his lack of money, he intentionally went to the practice camp by bus. He often took a bus and wore a school uniform so that he could ride it for free because at that time, in Brazil, students could enjoy free transportation services.

Although he failed his career at the local team, Thiago Silva continued to work hard. He continued to ensure his hope. What he thought at that time was only to be disciplined and work hard.

Then finally, right in 2004, Thiago joined FC Porto’s B team. He was contracted for 2.5 million euros. After a year in Portugal, Thiago decided to move to Russia.

Here, Thiago’s terrible journey of life began.

Getting assumed for having tuberculosis, Thiago Silva almost died in Russia.

Reported from FourFourTwo, when young Thiago played for Dinamo Moscow club, he almost died for suffering tuberculosis (TB). Instead of playing football, he spent six months in a hospital in Moscow.

This player, who is recently getting 34, said that before developing this respiratory disease, he played well for Dinamo. Unfortunately, his body seemed to be very tired.

After that, his health condition was getting worse and continuously having a high fever, cold sweat, and coughing.

The worse is that Thiago Silva has apparently suffered from tuberculosis for about nine months.

“If only the disease is not immediately found in a few weeks later, he could die,” said the doctor.

Doctors also suggested that Thiago cut off his right lungs so that he could survive longer.

However, Thiago rejected it and preferred to get a longer treatment in the hospital than he should.

After his condition was gradually getting better, Thiago Silva decided to stop playing football. The Dynamo Moscow paid all the treatment costs. Yet, he had never played a single match. In the end, the contract was canceled and Thiago had to return to Brazil.

Getting his mother support, Thiago returned to playing football. He returned to the field along with the Brazilian club, Fluminense. At Fluminense, Thiago Silva managed to raise up and became a crucial figure in his club.

In 2009, AC Milan had recruited this Brazilian player. He became the winning squad for the red-black team in 2011.

Seeing his success at Milan, the French club, PSG, was interested in asking for his hand. With a transfer fee of 42 million Euros or around 652 billion rupiah, Thiago Silva was officially wearing the uniform of el Parisians.

Having been in an extraordinary season with PSG, Thiago Silva became one of the best defenders in the world. Even in the Brazilian national team, he often becomes the first choice to fill the defense spot of the team.
