Robert Lewandowski, also known as Lewy, was born on August 21, 1988, in Warsaw, the capital of Poland. Lewy was born to Krzysztof Lewandowski and Iwona Lewandowski.

Lewandowski is destined to be born as a sportsman. His father is a professional footballer and judo athlete. While his mother was a footballer who played for AZS Warsaw which later became vice president of Partyzant Leszno.

Lewy has a sister named Milena. Milena is a professional volleyball athlete and on several occasions, she also played soccer.

Please note that Lewandowski has German blood originating from the phenomenal leader, Adolf Hitler. Lewandowski is the grandson of Hitler’s youngest sister, Paula Hitler. He died in 1960.

Since his childhood, Lewandowski has been interested in sports. He also had time to try several games before finally dropping his choice on football.

Little Lewy started his football career at the Varsovia Warsaw MKS, where he trained for about seven years there. He then moved to the Warsaw Delta. Playing with Delta Warsaw made Lewandowski’s talent grew. He continued to play nicely to become the top scorer in the Polish third division in the 2006/07 season.

In the following season, Lewandowski managed to become the top scorer of the Polish second division with 21 goals.

The year 2008 was a year that was quite encouraging for him. Besides debuting with the Polish senior team, he also officially joined Lech Poznan with a transfer fee of around 1.5 million euros. The decision to join Lech Poznan seemed to mark the successful career of this Polish man.

Debuting in the UEFA Cup competition, Lewandowski spectacularly scored in his first match. In the first season with Lech Poznan, Lewy successfully scored 18 goals in 42 appearances. In the following season, Lewy survived with 18 goals while bringing his team to win the Championship Cup in the 2009/10 season.

Because he continued to play brilliantly in his native land, Lewandowski then joined the German giant, Borussia Dortmund. Contracted at a cost of around 4.5 million euros, Lewandowski officially signed a four years contract.

With Borussia Dortmund, Lewy scored his first goal in September 2010 against Schalke 04.

In the 2011/12 season, Lewandowski’s sharpness increased, he successfully scored when he faced SV Sandhausen. Lewandowski really became the new hero of Borussia Dortmund with a series of goals that he continued to score.

Because of his sharpness, Lewandowski was titled as the best Polish player. He ended the season with a score of 22 goals and 6 assists.

At the beginning of the 2012/13 season, Lewy helped Dortmund to win the match against Werder Bremen. He continued to show his prowess by scoring many goals. The most phenomenal one is when he successfully made four goals at the same time in the European Champions League semifinal phase. He led Dortmund to climb the party’s top of the elite competition even though they ultimately lost to compatriot Bayern Munich.

In 2012, Lewandowski also successfully delivered Poland to the European Cup tournament. He scored his first goal at the tournament against Greece.

Besides these series of glorious achievements, Lewandowski also found his favorite woman, Anna. Anna is a karate athlete who graduated from the Warsaw sports academy. Both were married in 2013.

After playing brilliantly with Dortmund, Robert Lewandowski attracted FC Bayern’s interest. Right in 2014, Lewy officially dressed in The Bavarian with a five years contract.

Debuting against his former team, Bayern lost 2-0. But afterward, Lewandowski continued to play well by successfully scoring 25 times in 49 matches.

In the following season, Lewy created a new record as a player who scored five goals in just nine minutes. He received an award from the Guinness World of Records for this achievements. He completed the season by scoring 42 goals in 51 matches.

With Bayern. Lewandowski really showed the world that he was one of the first-class strikers. He successfully scored his 100th goal for Bayern on March 11, 2017, at 137 appearances. He again incised 42 goals in the season.

Appearing with Bayern made Lewandowski win four Bundesliga trophies and several other prestigious trophies.

With his deft style of play, being able to take advantage of opportunities, and having a sharp instinct, it is not impossible for Lewandowski to be able to contribute other prestigious trophies to Bayern or even maybe for the Polish national team.
