Giggs was actually born with the name Ryan Joseph Wilson, but based on the explanation of his parents, he changed his name to Ryan Joseph Giggs at the age of 16 years. Little Giggs grew up in Manchester after his mother separated from his father.

Since his childhood, Giggs has been known as a kid who fond of football. There is no wonder if he grew fond of football considering there is an athlete’s blood flowing from his father. His father used to be one of the most popular Rugby players of his time.

Giggs was only looked after by his mother. At that time, her mother had difficulty because she had to support her two sons. He was really disappointed with his ex-husband who was not responsible for the family.

To lessen the burden of his mother, Giggs was busy taking care of her younger brother.

When he was six years old, Giggs entered the Deans FC academy. Thanks to the recommendations from his first team, Giggs finally joined Manchester City. During his junior career, Giggs had played for Manchester City in the period 1985 to 1987 before finally joining Manchester United in 1987 to 1990.

Until exactly in December 1990, Giggs signed his first professional contract with Manchester United. He debuted with the red devil in March 1991 against Everton. Giggs scored his first goal for Manchester Red when his team faced Manchester City in a derby match held in May 1991.

At that time, Giggs, who was only 17 years old, became the youngest player on the team.

Although he was included in the main team in the 1991/92 season, Giggs was still playing for the Manchester United junior team. He managed to bring the young red devil team to win the FA Cup for young England teams in 1992.

In the 1992/93 season, Ryan Giggs’s ability developed rapidly. He transformed into one of the best wingers in the country of Queen Elizabeth. He helped Manchester United win the highest division title of English football.

In 1994/95 season, Giggs suffered a severe injury. Even so, he returned in the following season with far better conditions. Giggs managed to get a place at Manchester United which at that time began the arrival of several players like David Beckham and Phil Neville.

In the 1998/99 season, Giggs became one of the important pillars of the red devil in winning the match against Palmeiras in the Intercontinental Cup tournament. In that match, Giggs won the title as the best player.

Ryan Giggs increasingly confirmed himself as one of the best players owned by MU after successfully donating three titles in one season.

As it was considered important, Ryan Giggs then extended his contract with United to celebrate ten years with the Manchester City team. Giggs also successfully scored his 100th goal for Manchester United when facing Chelsea.

After having suffered a severe injury, Giggs returned and continued his positive trend until he decided to retire in 2014.

During his stay in Manchester United, Giggs managed to carve out a very fantastic achievement. They were in the form of 13 Premier League titles, 9 Community Shield Cups, 4 FA Cups, 2 European Champions League titles, 1 Club World Cup, and many more.

For your information, the number of trophies that have been achieved by Ryan Giggs is more than the number of trophies won by Manchester City.

After deciding to retire, Giggs served as an assistant coach before finally working as a coach.

There was a little interesting fact about the personal life of this 45-year-old man. Although known as a loyal player with one club, Giggs had been involved in an affair. Worse yet, he had an affair with his own brother’s lover.

That was revealed by his father to The Sun. He said if Giggs was not what they saw. He considered that his son was a true traitor after being caught cheating with his own brother’s wife. His father also added that Giggs had embarrassed the family.

After the embarrassing incident, Giggs conveyed his apology to his younger brother.
