Eden Hazard is a Belgian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder. Thanks to his extraordinary talent, he has become one of the most dangerous players at the moment.
Eden Michael Hazard was born on January 7, 1991, in La Louviere, Belgium. Although born in La Louviere, Hazard was raised in Braine Le Comte. Hazard was born to a footballer’s family. His father, Thierry, was a defensive midfielder who played for the La Louviere team in the Belgian second division. While the mother, Carine, was an attacker on the women’s football team who played in the Belgian main division.
His mother then decided to quit football after getting pregnant with Hazard at the age of three months. Hazard also has three brothers who also have a love for football. They are Thorgan, Kylian and Ethan Hazard.
Because of his interest in football was already seen since his childhood, Hazard had started training with the local academy, the Royal Stade Brainois. At that time, Hazard who began to join from the age of 4 years had received a lot of praise from his coach. The coach considered that Hazard had extraordinary talent.
He had trained at the Royal Stade Brainois for about eight year.
After that, Hazard moved to Tubize at the age of 13, where his talent was monitored by a scout from Lille. After Lille sent an official offer to his parents, Hazard joined the team at the age of 16 in hopes that he could get better training facilities.
Hazard officially joined Lille in 2005. After playing for two years in the junior team, Hazard finally got a professional contract at the senior level on May 28, 2007.
Hazard made his debut with Lille in the match against Nancy, November 24, 2007. He played as a substitute player at the 78th minute.
Hazard permanently entered the senior team when Lille was taken care of by Rudi Garcia in the 2008/09 season. Hazard’s beautiful game managed him to bring Lille into the UEFA Europa League competition. He also won the title of best player of the year.
Thanks to his brilliant appearance, Hazard has been called up to the Belgian national team. With Belgium, he started his debut match against Luxembourg in 2008.
In the 2009/10 season, some of Europe’s top clubs were interested in Hazard. His idol at the time, Zinedine Zidane, told him to join Real Madrid. However, Hazard decided to remain in Lille and won the title of the best player for the second time.
In the 2011/12 season, he managed to play the 100th match in the French League. Achievements continued to flow as in the same season, he managed to win the title of the best player of the French League.
Thanks to his extraordinary abilities, Hazard managed to attract the interest of English clubs, Chelsea. Right in June 2012, Chelsea announced that they had managed to contract this talented young player from Belgium.
In the 2012/13 season with Chelsea, Hazard faced an unexpected moment. He had to step down for three matches in arrow as he got a sanction in which he was banned to play. At that time, Hazard got into trouble with a ball boy. Brutally, he kicked the ball boy who kept holding the ball he was about to take.
In 2012, Hazard married a beautiful woman named Natacha. They were blessed with three sweet children named Yannis, Leo, and Samy.
Hazard claimed that he loves his family very much. He often spends time together.
Having been considered as making enough contribution to Chelsea, the team from the city of London offered a new contract to Hazard. In February 2015, the Blues officially extended Hazard’s contract for the next five years. In the same year, Hazard also received the ‘PFA Best Player’ award.
Throughout his journey with Chelsea, he has been an important figure in the team.
When appearing in the 2018 World Cup title, Hazard managed to bring the Belgian national team to the semifinals. In the semifinals, they were defeated by France with a score of 1-0 which then made France become the world champion.
His also managed to attract the world famous game console, FIFA. Together with Lionel Messi, Hazard appeared in the closing video game of the ‘FIFA 15’ edition which was released in England, Belgium, Netherlands, and France.
He also briefly entered the closing game nomination ‘FIFA 17’. However, he lost to Marco Reus who managed to appear in the FIFA closing game of that time edition.
