Mohamed Salah is an Egyptian footballer who plays as an attacker. He played for the Egyptian national team and English club, Liverpool. Thanks to his increasing quality, Mo Salah transformed into one of the most deadly attackers.

Mohamed Salah was born on June 15, 1992, in Nagri, Gharbia, Egypt. As a child, Salah was not very good at academics. Following this, Salah tried to find things that could cover up his shortcomings until eventually, Salah found his love for football. Having difficulties to develop his academics, Salah continued to sharpen his skills in playing football.
His days were filled with watching football matches on television. At that time, he idolized some Arab footballers.

The young Mo Salah was not only playing football on the field or at streets full of dust, but also in local competitions. One of the competitions he participated in was the Pepsi League, a soccer competition for children.

This competition was held in Tanta City, about 30 minutes by road from Nagri Village. Although at that time his body was thin and not too tall, Salah was very agile and skilled in playing the ball.

His attractive game fascinated a scout from Contractors FC soccer club, El Mokawloon, based in Cairo. At that time, the talent scout immediately offered a contract for Mo Salah. Salah then joined the local club El Mokawloon academy. Due to the long distance from his home, Salah had to take several buses to reach the training camp.

Salah’s teenage period was spent on football. A solid training schedule plus a long journey that must be taken to reach the training camp made Salah did not have enough time to play with his peers.

However, he was strong enough for that. Because Salah kept his dream of becoming a world soccer player.

In May 2010, at the age of 18 years, he began to be appointed to the senior level of the academy club. At the beginning of his professional career, Salah only played as a substitute. But as times went by, his game skill at the senior level continued to increase and he managed to get into the main squad. Around 2012, this Egyptian man was once confused by Egypt’s competition which was suddenly stopped due to chaos.

This made him leave Europe. At that time, those who were willing to offer a contract was a club from Swiss, FC Basel. In April 2012, Salah signed a 4-year contract with Basel. In the same year, he immediately made his debut by playing in the European Champions League and UEFA Europa League.

In the 2012/13 season, Salah had an important role at FC Basel in navigating the Swiss League and Swiss Cup competitions. In the following season, Salah managed to bring FC Basel to win the Uhren Cup award.

Finally, in January 2014, Mo Salah impressed Chelsea’s talent seeker and was willing to be moved to the club from the city of London.

In February 2014, Salah made his debut with Chelsea when facing against Newcastle United. In the 2014/15 season, Salah had to return to Egypt for military service. However, the Egyptian government released Salah from compulsory military service because he was considered a hero in the field of sports.

Right in February 2015, Chelsea lent Salah to an Italian club, Fiorentina, before finally he began his brilliant career with another Serie A club, AS Roma.

After being unlucky with Chelsea, this Egyptian man seemed to rediscover his best performance when he joined AS Roma.

Along with the Roman Wolf, Salah managed to win the award of the best player and top scorer by collecting 15 goals. Following his best performance, in 2016, Roma offered a permanent contract to Mo Salah.

His increasing ability made some clubs interested in this Egyptian player. Even right in June 2017, Salah could not refuse an offer from Liverpool. He was also given an offer from Liverpool with a dowry of 50 million pounds.

Joining the Reds made Mo Salah became the first Egyptian player to be in a Liverpool uniform. He scored his debut goal when he was against Watford and was nominated as Liverpool’s best player in August 2017.

Again, along with Liverpool, he successfully won the top scorer and became one of the most ferocious strikers in the Premier League, even also in Europe.

Salah had already joined the Egypt national team since he was at the U20 and U23 levels. Until finally he succeeded in penetrating the senior level playing in the 2014 World Cup and 2018 World Cup.

Salah is a good Muslim. When his house was broken by a thief, his father wanted to imprison the suspect. However, Salah rejected his father’s decision and gave some money to the suspect instead.

His own personal life is colored by a beautiful woman named Maggi. Both of them are blessed with a child named Makka. The name of their child was inspired by the holy city, Mecca.

Now, Salah becomes the most popular player from Egypt who has successfully penetrated European football. Despite failing on several World Cup award, Salah remains to be a scary figure that deserves to be taken into account.
