In a football world, anything can possibly happen. No exception for the conflict between players and fans. Whether because of the players’ performance or other problems, these conflicts often lead to violence.

There was a incident in the Manchester derby in 2009. A fan entered the field and interrupted the match before being finally arrested by the officers. Craig Bellamy took part in the action. When the officer had arrested the fan, he was seen throwing several punches.
Eventually, the match was won by Manchester United with a score of 4-3.

January 2002 was a year that was quite frustrating for Jamie Carragher. During the match against Arsenal in the FA Cup competition, he was thrown with a coin by the audience. Feeling offended, Carragher threw back the coin. Apparently, this incident was part of fan’s protest over Dennis Bergkamp’s red card due to stepping on Carragher. Carragher then received a red card from the referee and a warning from the FA disciplinary commission. Alan Smith is known as an aggressive player. He has even got 8 red cards when he was 23 years old. In 2003, Smith, with Leeds United, accidentally attacked his own supporters at the match against Manchester United in the League Cup. The incident began when a supporter threw a bottle at a Manchester United’s Chris Eagles. Smith, who saw the incident, was annoyed and threw back the bottle to the same supporters. Unfortunately, the bottle hit another Leeds United supporter instead. Alan Smith was arrested by the police for the action. The victim had also been rushed to the hospital to get treatments. - Eric Cantona
The match against Crystal Palace gave Cantona a special memory. An incident began when Cantona got a red card for kicking Crystal Palace player named Richard Shaw. When Cantona was walking out of the field, a Crystal Palace supporter named Matthew Simmons said some harsh words against him. He insulted the French man with inappropriate words. Cantona was angry and throw a kung fu kick towards Simmons. As a result, Cantona had to pay a fine of 200 thousand euros and was banned from playing for nine months. - Patrick Evra
