Compete and appear aggressive towards your opponent is a very common thing. But what happens if the player feels disturbed or even aggressive towards the existence of his own teammate?

The sense of ego and wanting to win alone are the several reasons why many players don’t get along with their own partners. This time, Footchampion will show you the list of footballers who are in conflict with their own teammates…

1.Gerard Pique and Arbeloa

The fight between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona is inevitable. Their players, Gerard Pique and Alvaro Arbeloa even involved in conflict due to the fight between the two teams. While playing as a team in the Spanish national team, Pique often mocked several el Real personnel. Arbeloa was offended as he felt that Pique did not pay any respect for Real Madrid.

Pique and Arbeloa then involved in a war of words through the media. Pique mocked Madrid via Twitter at Copa del Rey against Cadiz. After that, both of them often satirized each other on social media. This conflict between Pique and Arbeloa had even made the Spanish coach getting worried.

2. Andy Cole and Teddy Sheringham

When Cole was about to make his debut with England against Uruguay, he was appointed by the coach to replace Sheringham. But while Sheringham was approaching Cole, he refused to have a handshake. Cole felt embarrassed and humiliated by Sheringham’s attitude. Yet, Sheringham refused to apologize.

Cole admitted that they still often scored goals when they were at Manchester United. However, they had never talked to each other.

3. Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Oguchi Onyewu

At that time, the AC Milan training session was stopped sooner than it had been scheduled. This sudden short session happened due to a fight involving Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Oguchi Onyewu. A fight between Ibra and Onyewu began when Ibra tackled that United defender. Onyewu thought that the tackle is too harsh so that he was angry and emotionally provoked.

Onyewu’s departure from Milan in 2011 was then assumed due to his conflict with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

4. Kolo Toure and William Gallas

While still at Arsenal, Kolo Toure blatantly mentioned that there was a problem between himself and William Gallas. Both of them did not talk to each other for a long time. Gallas who has a harsh attitude doesn’t really like Toure who likes controlling a lot.

Both were in conflict until Toure finally asked the management to move him.

5. Mauro Icardi and Maxi Lopez

Conflicts between Mauro Icardi and Maxi Lopez had once stirred up the football universe. Both of them who were still in the same uniform at Sampdoria at that time ignited by the affair. Wanda Nara, who was used to be Maxi Lopez’s lover, turned her heart to Mauro Icardi.

When they were no longer in a team, such actions took the public’s attention. Maxi Lopez refused to shake hands with Icardi before starting the match. Lopez was apparently really angry with Icardi as he took his lover from him.

6. Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Rafael van der Vaart

Zlatan is a player who has a harsh attitude. It was common for him to be involved in conflicts with several players. This time, the conflict involved Rafael van der Vaart. Ibra claimed that he did not like van der Vaart’s personality when they were still in a team at Ajax Amsterdam. This Swedish man said if he wanted to break the leg of that former player of Real Madrid.

Then, everything was getting worse as the two players met in an international match. Zlatan gave a harsh tackle on van der Vaart. The Dutchman player also considered that Zlatan intentionally injured him. After Zlatan had refused to apologize, both of them no longer spoke to each other.

7. Joey Barton & Ousmane Dabo

During the Manchester City training session, Joey Barton was reported to the authorities due to allegations of assault. Barton beat Dabo after the two had been arguing. For Barton’s brutal act, Dabo had to be rushed to the hospital for treatment and Barton was fined 3,000 euros. Refusing to apologize, Barton even claimed that Dabo was a coward for reporting him to the police. Barton’s career at City ended and he had to move to Newcastle United.

So, those are the list of footballers who had been involved in a conflict with their teammates. How is it, football lovers? Please write your comments below and don’t forget to like and share…
