Edinson Roberto Cavani Gomez, born on February 14, 1987, in Salto, Uruguay. Cavani is the son of Luis Cavani and Berta Gomez. He is the last of three children. His two brothers also work as football players.

Cavani’s father is a former amateur footballer. His father always worked hard to support his family. Cavani is the child closest to his father. They often go hunting and fishing. Even now, when Cavani returns to his hometown, both of them always take time to fish together.

While his mother is also a hard worker who always supports the ideals of her child. His mother even told about a day when all his family members could not afford to eat. It took a hard struggle to be able to eat together.

Thanks to his closeness with his father, little Cavani began to love football. His father always pushed and trained Cavani on how to play football. Starting to grow, Cavani is considered a boy who has great potential. He often played with people who were older than him.

When he entered his teens, Cavani began joining the football academy program. He managed to prove his quality thanks to the support of the family, especially his father. Thanks to his special abilities, Cavani was accepted at the Danubio academy, a renowned football academy located in Montevideo. The academy has given birth to great players like Alvaro Recoba and Diego Forlan.

After more than five years playing for the junior team, Cavani qualified for the senior team in 2005. Cavani just made his professional debut in 2006.

Because he continued to play neatly and scored many goals, Cavani’s talent began to catch the blue continent’s attention. At that time there were teams like Milan and Juventus who wanted it. But he actually chose Palermo as his first stopover in Europe.

At a cost of around 4.5 million euros, Cavani officially landed at the Renzo Barbera Stadium. Together with Palermo, Cavani continued to show brilliant performances. He continued to score many goals. In the 2008/09 season, Cavani even scored 14 goals and was nicknamed ‘El Matador.’

In the 2009/10 season, his performance was increasingly better. He even succeeded in bringing Palermo to join European competition. Even so, Cavani had once been contracted by Napoli in July 2010. Together with Napoli, his performance continued to be consistent. He managed to score in his first four matches in Serie A.

When defending Napoli in the European League competition, Cavani successfully scored a hat trick in January. Cavani ended the season by scoring 25 goals. Because it was considered to have a significant impact, Napoli made Cavani’s status permanent. Right in May 2011, Cavani signed a contract with the team.

In the 2011/12 season, Cavani managed to score a hat trick against Milan and finish the season with a score of 23 goals. After that, Cavani managed to score a goal in the Coppa Italia final against Juventus and at the same time he brought Napoli to the championship.

The following season, Cavani scored 29 goals and became the top scorer in the season.

At the end of the 2012/13 season, several rumors about him began to strengthen. He was rumored to be out of Naples because there were already several big teams ready to ask for his hand. Napoli and Cavani themselves had denied some rumors circulating. But right in July 2013, Napoli had established contact with PSG. Both teams agreed to the striker’s transfer process.

At a cost of around 64 million euros, Cavani officially landed in this city of fashion. In 2014 while undergoing the final Coupe de la Ligue match against Lyon, Cavani successfully played nicely and brought the champion for PSG. In his first season with el Parisians, he scored 25 goals in 43 appearances.

During the subsequent seasons, Cavani continued to play brilliantly and managed to donate the French league title in a row.

In the 2016/17 season, Cavani even managed to score 14 goals from 14 appearances in Ligue one, 8 goals from 8 appearances in the champions league and managed to score in the final game Coupe de la Ligue. With a total of 35 goals, Cavani won the title of the best French League player.

Not only with the club he defended, but Cavani also regularly performed with Uruguay in various prestigious events.

But unfortunately, his love relationship is not as beautiful as his performance on the field. Cavani had a relationship with several women and ended in separation.

Now, he is in a relationship with an Uruguayan model and dancer, Jocelyn Burgardt.
