Gerard Pique Bernabeu was born on February 2, 1987, in Barcelona, Spain to Joan and Monserrat.
Maybe it exists inside the minds of football lovers why there is the name Bernabeu in Pique’s name. As it is known that he is a native Catalan and Bernabeu itself became a legend of Catalan city team rivals.
Apparently, the name of the Bernabeu was taken from the name of his grandfather, the Amador Bernabeu. The Amador Bernabeu is the father of Pique’s mother. He is a former vice president of Barcelona.
Pique was born to a wealthy family. His father was a businessman and his mother was a director of a prominent hospital in Barcelona.

Pique began to show interest in football at the age of 10 when he joined the La Masia academy. While at La Masia, Pique was known as a formidable player.

After winning the World Cup, Pique returned to Barcelona. In 2011, Pique became the part of a team that won the Champions League trophy, Barcelona. At that time, Barcelona successfully stopped MU’s resistance in the final with a score of 3-1.
Continuing his golden journey, Pique had a duet with Sergio Ramos in the Spanish national team in which they won the European Cup in 2012.
Because of his strict resistance in maintaining the team’s defense, Pique was aligned with German legend Franz Beckenbauer. It’s not surprising to know that his fans called Pique as Piquenbauer.
